Ms. Yvonne Walker is a proud member of Women of Integrity, Inc.
Born in Jamaica, West Indies, Ms. Walker comes from a family of 9
children. She is a very distinct woman because she learned how to
receive constructive criticism and be teachable from her older siblings,
and she learned how to become an effective leader through mentoring
her younger siblings.
As a teenager, Ms. Walker came to the United States, graduated from
high school at Adlai E. Stevenson, and later graduated from business
school at Taylor Business Institute. She gained a wealth of knowledge
while working for over 20 years for large companies such as Dale
Carnegie & Associates Inc. and Fortunoff.
Over the past 3 consecutive years, 2 of which she was a board member, Ms. Walker has contributed her time to volunteering at Women of Integrity’s mentoring program, health fair, prom dress give away, and various other community outreach events. When she is not volunteering her time, she enjoys reading and vacationing with her husband. Ms. Walker’s knowledge and interpersonal skills has not only benefited the young ladies in the community, but also the ladies apart of Women of Integrity, Inc.
